Mother Teresa was a great missionary. She was born on August 26, 1910 in Skopje in Macedonia. Her father Agnes called her Gonxha Bojaxhia. When she was young, she felt that she should spend her entire life for God and his work. At 18, she joined the Loreto Sisters, who were very active in India. Here, she was named as sister Teresa. She always worked for the poor and the needy. She received many awards and honours for her work. In the year 1979, she was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. In 1980, she received the Bharat Ratna award. She died in the year 1997.

Mother Teresa was born on 26th august ,1910 and. she passed away on 5th September,1997.Mother Teresa was a true follower of humanity .Many people considered Mother as the "reincarnated form of Lord Jesus".Mother Teresa Devoted her entire life in serving the needy and abandoned people of the society.

The original name of Mother Teresa was Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu. She was born in Skopje,the capital of Macedonia,On 26 August 1910.At the age of 12 ,She felt the'call of God"and wanted to spread the love of Christ.On 24 May ,1931,she took her initial vows as a nun.
For next 15 years ,Mother Teresa taught at ST.Mary's High School in Calcutta .On 10 September,1946 ,while travelling to Darjeeling ,North-Bengal for the annual retreat Mother realized "the call within ca ll".She felt as if jesus was asking her to come out of the walls and serve the down -trodden people.
In December 1950,Mother established the missionaries of charity in Calcutta. 'The Primary  objective of the missionaries of charity was to love and care for the weak and downtrodden persons in the society. In 1965,The pope Paul VI granted  a Decree of Praise and allowed Mother Teresa to expend  her congregation to other countries .Now, the society has become an international religious Family and the society has opened its branches in many countries of the world.
