Vision Swarna Andhra Pradesh was initiated by Mr. Nara Chandra Babu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. The mission to have a Swarna Andhra Pradesh was started by the team in 2014 and aims to complete by the year 2029.

Nara Lokesh, Naidu's son, and also, the probable apparent heir to the TDP has been credited with the idea of Swarna Andhra. The state government had released almost 2 crores to be paid as an advance to the consultancy company that has been engaged to master the 'Swarnandhra Vision Document-2029'.

The aim of having a Swarna Andhra is to have a state which is an educational hub with top institutes like IIT, IIM, NIT, etc., having centers for top-notch business and corporate enterprises, improvement of the quality of life of all the people especially for the disadvantaged and underprivileged, improved agricultural activities and qualities, a drought-free state, and many other factors that lead to the sustainable growth of the state and its people.
