Honor Killing
With the continuous progress of Science and technology, we may have created many milestones but still there are many classes and communities in our society who follow such evil practices like honor killing. Honor killing is the process of killing a member of the family, especially a woman, who is believed to have embarrassed the family due to an evil act, in most cases inter-caste and inter-community marriage. Not only the girl, sometimes the man she had married is also killed by the members of the family of either the bride or the groom. This is prevalent in many rural areas of India, especially in the backward castes. India is a land of religious differences. But this kind of act proves that we have still not succeeded in creating a good country. This is a stigma on the society. Only education and awareness can stop this practice. We need to treat everyone equally and love and respect everyone, no matter which strata of the society they belong to.
