Of all the places that I have visited, three places stand out in my mind- Kalline, a tea estate in Assam, the Varca Beach in Goa and New York City, the second being the best destination.
Being in Goa, Varca is an international tourist destination, but is a calm area where you can enjoy the white sand and clear water. It invites you to relax under the multicoloured sun umbrellas lined up along the beach. Kalline too has a water body that is equally charming. The cool stream that flows through the peacefully green tea estate is a soothing treat for the eyes.The busy New York city also has a lot of beaches and rivers, but that is not what one visits the city for.
In terms of transportation and network connectivity, New York City is extremely well connected. There are lots of landmarks for tourists to visit. Varca Beach is not half as busy, but is easy to reach, guided by the cell phone navigation. There are very few places of interest around, while idyllic Kalline has little coverage and no notable tourist spots in the vicinity.
Varca is a beautifully balanced place, that offers an international feel without the overcrowded, rushy feel.
