Answer:

Animals are multicellular eukaryotic organisms that form the biological kingdom Animalia. With few exceptions, animals consume organic material, breathe oxygen, are able to move, can reproduce sexually, and grow from a hollow sphere of cells, the blastula, during embryonic development. Over 1.5 million living animal species have been described—of which around 1 million are insects—but it has been estimated there are over 7 million animal species in total. Animals range in length from 8.5 millionths of a metre to 33.6 metres (110 ft) and have complex interactions with each other and their environments, forming intricate food webs. The category includes humans, but in colloquial use the term animal often refers only to non-human animals. The study of non-human animals is known as zoology.

Answer:

Animals have the same basic rights as Humans

Regarding animal protection, the first thought says that animals must have rights and the second having a more radical view states that animals must be liberated. Taking a closer, we can see that the rights which are promoted for animals are similar to that of humans. Proposed by many advocates these include: Animals must not suffer. They must have right over their own life. Just like humans their basic interests should be considered. From another point of view, animals must be considered as people and not property. There are various published opinions on animal rights being legitimate and the debate is on since the beginning of history. It’s mentioned in the Bible that Adam had dominance over the birds, fish and animals that lived on the earth. This implies on the ownership or on some kind of property rights on the animals. Man was considered superior to animals as he was thought to be created in the image of God. Aristotle’s opinions also land more or less on the same page. According to him, animals didn’t have the ability to reason so they were considered below humans. But on the other hand, many people like Rene Descartes, left a great mark in the field of animal rights. At present, there are many organisations working towards realising this goal that animals just like humans have the same basic rights.
