.Air pollution refers to the contamination of atmospheric air due to the presence of some substances and gases (from anthropogenic or natural sources) which have harmful and poisonous effects.
Water pollution is the contaminationof water bodies, usually as a result of human activities. Water bodies include for example lakes, rivers, oceans, aquifers and groundwater.
Soil contamination or soil pollution as part of land degradation is caused by the presence of xenobiotic chemicals or other alteration in the natural soil environment. It is typically caused by industrial activity, agricultural chemicals, or improper disposal of waste. 
Noise pollution affects both health and behavior. Unwanted sound (noise) can damage physiological health. Noise pollution can cause hypertension, high stress levels, tinnitus, hearing loss, sleep disturbances, and other harmful effects.

Water and air, the two essential fluids on which all life depends, have become global garbage cans. Pollution is a serious one. Water pollution, air pollution, and then solid hazardous waste pollution. And then beyond that, we also have the resources issue. Not just water resources but other natural resources, the mining resources being consumed, and the destruction of our ecosystem.

One hundred and fifty years ago, the monster began, this country had become a place of industry. Factories grew on the landscape like weeds. Trees fell, fields were up-ended, rivers blackened. The sky choked on smoke and ash, and the people did, too, spending their days coughing and itching, their eyes turned forever toward the ground. Villages grew into town, towns into cities. And people began to live ON the earth rather than WITHIN it.

Planting more trees, reusing, recycling, re manufacture, refuse and minimum usage of plastic are some small changes that would make a big difference. Environmental pollution is an incurable disease. It can only be prevented.
