Teachers Day Speech

First of all a salute and a heartfelt Greeting with both hands to the great teacher Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, whose birthday we celebrate September 5 as Teacher's Day.

Today I am going to give a speech on the occasion of Teacher's Day, which aims to explain "Why is Teacher's Day celebrated on the birthday of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan? After all, why is Teacher's Day celebrated on September 5 itself?"

He was the first Vice President and the second President of our country. Before joining politics, you gave 40 years of your life to study. Today it is important for all of us to know why we celebrate Dr. Radhakrishnan's birthday as Teachers' Day?

Dr. Sarvepalli, as you all know, was a noted philosopher, great educationist and teacher. Once some of his disciples and friends decided to celebrate his birthday. When they went to get permission from them, he said that instead of celebrating my birthday separately, I would feel proud if Teacher's Day would be celebrated.

After this, Teachers' Day was celebrated on 5 September 1962 in the whole country. The best thing about education and learning is that no one can take it away from you. Wealth can be stolen but not your education. The entire credit for this goes to a teacher.

Everything we have today is because of our teachers. Teachers make the most impact on our lives. Teachers are the form of God for us. We should show respect to teachers. But today teachers are bidding for their knowledge. The tradition of Guru and disciple is being stigmatized somewhere. Today teachers are misbehaviour students, Not only this, today students also are abusing teachers.

Education is becoming a market by losing its values. Tension is increasing among the children regarding education, as a result, they unknowingly adopt many wrong ways and drugs.

On this auspicious occasion of Teacher's Day, let us all students and teachers take an oath together that we should understand this great tradition of Guru-disciple better, and cooperate with us in building a good society.

Stop education from becoming a market. Along with the government, all of us should also cooperate in building a new India in the field of education.

Answer:

One child, one teacher, one pen and one book can change the world,’ a quote by the daughter of a teacher, Malala Yousafzai. Rightly so, teachers are the first guiding step in this big bad world. Without a mentor over our heads, a guide to distinguish right from wrong, we will all be bodies without spirit. While growing up, the only person we tend to respect after our parents, are our teachers. Because the greatest lesso ns are learnt in the classroom. Even though many times we feel that they are a waste, but somewhere after a decade, everything starts coming into practicality, and hence our bookish lessons come to life.

Teachers may not always be confined to the four walls of a school. They may come in the form of your parents, sibling, soulmate, friends or simply a companion like your dog. The small moments with these special people in our lives often leave us spellbound with the lessons we may never learn otherwise. This teachers day, do not just thank your ‘on paper’ teachers. Thank anyone and everyone who have contributed in making you, you. Not every teacher needs to be called ma’am or sir and not every teacher needs a stick to teach you a lesson. Experiences with certain people often turn out to be our greatest teachers and should be cherished.

Words are our strongest weapon and hence should be used wisely. Making your teacher feel special maybe a struggle for you and hence on this teachers day, we bring to you some speeches by famous personalities that you can draw inspiration from to tell your teachers what you feel about them
