-Both Mahavira and Buddha were born as Kshatriya princes

-Both the religions emphasised on non - violence

-Both religions believed that there was no God

-Both trusted in karma

-The ultimate goal in both religions was to attain moksha, which is the liberation of the soul from the cycle of birth and rebirth
