¤¤¤ Male cone has microsporophylls which bear microsporangia having microspores which develop into reduced gametopyte called Pollengrain.
¤¤¤ Female cone has megasporophylls which bear megasporangia having megaspores which are enclosed within the megasporangium [ Nucellus ] . One megaspore develops into female gametopyte bearing two or more archegonia.
