Dear Diary,
I can't forget my meeting with two gentlemen of Verona,Nicola and Jacopo. While driving in Verona,I saw them selling strawberries and then shining shoes. From their appearance,I could judge that they could be ordinary lousy louts or street urchins. But to my ashtonishment I found them little gems. They belonged to a respectable family of a well known singer, who had been killed in a war.Somehow, they survived in a humble shelter amidst the rubble. When the war was over they went to their sister,Lucia and saw that she was suffering from tuberculosis of spine.
It didn't take long for them to decide honourably .They decided to get Lucia admitted in nearby hospital and made sure that they paid the medical expenses every week. For paying the bill, they did various kinds of odd jobs like selling fruits, shining shoes, hawking newspapers ,conducting tourists round the town and ran errands. They proved very useful to me as they would ready to help us any time.
What impressed the most was their devotion to the moral duty in seeing their sister disease free.Strangely, they worked selflessly and fairly. Then, they didn't any money on their food or clothes. But they earned only for their sister.Such nobility of purpose and affection towards family members is rare to be seen these days.Their sincerity, devotion and dedication gave a new hope in human society.
