The different uses of plants

1. We get Food from plants – Plants give us fruits, vegetables, seeds, and flowers which are edible. From roots, like potatoes, radish, beetroot, carrot, etc are provided and Fruits like mango, apple, grapes, etc.
2. Wood from plants – trees give us timber and wood, that can be used to make Furniture like tables, chairpersons, windows, doors, etc.
3. Cotton plants – They give us cotton clothes like pillows, towels, bed- wastes, etc. we have Fibre plants which give us fibres to make ropes, jute bags, etc.
4. Plants give us medicines – Some are of medicinal significance. Medicines made from similar plants are called medicinal plants. Example Tulsi, Neem Brahmi, etc.
5. Plants give us rubber, gum, and paper. For Example, Eraser, tyre etc. Plants like eucalyptus and bamboo are used to make paper.
6. Incense from plants – Flowers of some plants are used to make scents. some are used for  ornamental purposes, and flowers like jasmine and rose are used to make scents
7. Manure from plants – Factory waste is used as manure for the growth of other plants.
8. Clean air to breathe –  trees help in controlling air pollution. During the process of photosynthesis, they take in carbon dioxide and give out oxygen. We inhale the oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide from the atmosphere air. Hence, the process continues and the air is pollution-free for us to breathe.
