The molecular mass of Glucose is 180.1559 g/mol. (EXACT)

To find the molecular mass we add the atomic masses of all of the atoms in the molecule. We then find the atomic mass of each element by finding it from the periodic table. Then we have to multiply the subscript with the atomic mass of each element and add the masses of all of the elements in the molecule to get the molecular mass.

(Rounded) Molecular Mass C6H12O6 = 6(12.01) + 12(1.008) + 6(16.00) =180.16 (ROUNDED) (You can find the exact calculation by taking the exact atomic masses for each of the elements, multiplying it with the subscript and adding each of the elements together).

molcular mass of glucose ( C₆H₁₂O₆)
Molecular mass of carbon = 12 u
Molecular mass of hydrogen =1 u
Molecular mass of oxygen = 16 u
∴ Molecular mass of Glucose = 6 (12) + 12 + 6 (16)
                                               = 72 + 12 +96
                                               = 180 u
