Enzymes are biological catalysts capable of promoting chemical reactions in the living system. Enzyme are inorganic catalysts synthesized by living cells. They speed up different chemical reactions but remain unchanged at the end of the reactions. The substance on which an enzyme acts is called substrate. The substrate molecule physically comes in contact with specific part of the enzyme. This specific part is called the active site of the enzyme.
Catalysts are small molecules or simple mineral ions which promote the chemical reactions. Both organic substances and inorganic substances can function as catalysts. A very small amount of catalyst can promote the rate of a chemical reaction.
Enzymes vs Inorganic Catalysts
Enzymes Inorganic CatalystsThey are globular proteins. They are mineral ions or small molecules. They can promote a specific reaction of a substrate. They can promote diverse reaction. They are regulated by specific molecules. They are not regulated by any regulator molecules. They are synthesized by ribosomes in the living cells. They are not synthesized in the living cells. They are more sensitive to temperature and pH.They are less sensitive to temperature and pH.

ENZYMES
Enzymes are proteins responsible for bringing up change in the rate of biological processes.
In other words enzymes are biological catalysts secreted by living organisms.
Example : Pepsin , trypsin.
INORGANIC CATALYSTS.
These catalysts bring about change in the rate of reaction prepared by man.
In other words , these are elements or compounds which bring about change in the rate of reaction either invented/discovered by man.
Example : Nickel , palladium.
Hope this helps.....
