Write paragraph about curious about fulfil of wish
Answers
Explanation:
When you see shooting star you can quickly make a wish, and it will come true — under one condition: you mustn’t tell anyone about your wish.
This is what I was told as a child. We lived in a place where the sky was often clear and sparkling with stars. There was no light pollution, and nightfall came before my bedtime.
Every time I saw a shooting star I made a wish. It was always the same one. It never came true.
I could have told my mother, “remember you said that wishes come true when you see a falling star, and you mustn’t tell anyone…?”
And my mother might have replied, “what was it you wished for, darling?”
And that might have helped the coming true of my wish a long way.
But my lips were sealed. I kept watching out for shooting stars and making my wish in secret. I never doubted the power of stars falling from the sky.
The connection between bits of stardust zooming across the sky and human wishes can be traced back to ancient Greece. The astronomer Ptolemaios allegedly explained it something like this: “Occasionally, out of curiosity or boredom, the Gods peer down from between the spheres to see what the humans are up to. This creates a gap in the heavens, and sometimes stars slip through that gap and fall down to earth. Because the Gods are looking down at that time, humans have a greater chance to get their attention. So it’s a good moment to ask for the fulfilment of a wish.”
