Write short notes on Unit.

In order to make the measurement of a physical quantity , first of all we have to evolve a standard for that measurement so that different measurements of same physical quantity can be expressed relative to each other. The standard is known as unit of that physical quantity.
Mainly, there are three type of unit.
S.I unit :- it is internationally accepted unit. in which measurement of mass, length and time by kilogram, metre and second respectively. This is also known as M.K.S unit.

C.G.S unit :- in which mass is measured by gram, length is measured by centimeter and time is measured by second.

F.P.S unit :- it is short form of foot - pound - sec unit. This is British unit. in which mass , length and time are measured by pound , foot and second respectively.
