These are two cell organelles.

Mitochondria and chloroplast.

Now,

The similarities between these two cell organelles :-

1) Both these have double membrane.

2) Both these have their own genetic material that is called as DNA

2) Both these have their own ribosomes

Dissimilarity between these two :-

1) Mitochondria is present in both plant and animal cell while chloroplast is present only in plant cell.

2)Mitochondria helps in energy synthesis while chloroplast helps in the process of photosynthesis.

3) Mitochondria has highly folded inner membrane called as cristae while the chloroplast have stroma in the inner part where the thylakoid is present.

These all are the similarity and difference between the two.

Answer:

Mitochondria and chloroplasts are membrane-bound cell organelles found in eukaryotic cells

Explanation:

The similarities between mitochondria and chloroplast are

  • The purpose of mitochondria and chloroplasts is to produce energy for the cells in which they are found.
  • Both types of organelles have an inner and an outer membrane as part of their structure.
  • The notion of endosymbiosis explains why mitochondria and chloroplasts have identical DNA structures.
  • The mitochondria and chloroplasts are relics of once-individual organisms, which explains why they still possess their own unique DNA.

The differences between mitochondria and chloroplast are

  • mitochondria are found in almost all eukaryotic cells, but chloroplasts are found in mostly in plant cells only.
  • The ellipsoidal form of chloroplasts is symmetrical along three axes.
  • Although mitochondria are typically oblong, they can quickly alter form.
  • In contrast to the chloroplast, a mitochondrion's inner membrane is complex.
  • To increase surface area, it is coated in cristae formed by the membrane's numerous folds.
  • The chloroplast organelle is made up of stacks of thylakoid sacks inside the inner membrane.

The above are the similarities and dissimilarities between mitochondria and chloroplasts.
