Condition required :
1. It is a kharif crop , hence it needs sufficient amount of rainfall .
2. Temperature should me more than 25 C and rainfall should be between 100 cm to 200 cm .
3. Soil : Rice is grown on alluvial soil and clayey soil which retain water .
4. grown in NORTHERN and NORTHERN EASTERN India , coastal area and the deltaic region of canal irrigation and tube wells have made possible to grow rice in Punjab , Haryana .
