helen keller was born on 27 june 1880 in tuscumbia,northern albama.her mother was kate adams and father was arthur h. keller.her grandfather,kaspar keller migrated to albama and bought a plantation there.finally he settled there.helen was a normal child when she was born.but at the age of nineteen months she attacked by a mysterious illness that robbed her the faculty of seeing and hearing.her mother nursed her lovingly during her illness.as a child,she was very sharp,eager,inquistive and self asserting.even at the age of six she could utter incomplete words like"tea,tea,tea" and sentences like"how d'ye".as a child she was very sullen and angry child.but once miss sullivan started to teach her,her anger cooled down and her inner peace and beauty started to bloom.she conquered her handicaps with her patience,strong will power ,perseverance and determination.she played with martha and locking of her mother and teacher were her common pranks.she got her college education with normal students.she gave all her credit of success to her parents , her teachers and her friends.she was full of life.she enjoyed her life and proved to be a source of inspiration for her fellow beings.

She lost vision and hearing when she was very small because of fever. She was not born blind.

She became a famous writer and biggest inspiration to all the physically disabled people.

She faces many problems in her life, but with the strong determination she overcame all.

In her life, people who had been helpful to her included Alexander Grahambell, her mother and most importantly Miss Anne Sullivan.
