Negative. Methane can only be substituted i.e. only substitution reaction times place with methane because it has a single covalent bonds of C-C and C-H , hence there is no extra electrons for addition reaction to take place.

No methane cannot be subjected to addition reactions. Because for addition reaction double bond or triple bond is broken and hydrogen is added to complete the valency of carbon.But in methane there is no double or triple bond , it's valency is already completed by 4 hydrogen atoms.
