Explanation:

Necessary conditions for a S.H.M. are as follows-:

1. Oscillatory motion for the particle is must.

2. Particle's extreme position must be defined.

3. The addition of kinetic and potential energy to be constant or it should be conserved.

4. For the linear S.H.M. the displacement of the particle must be proportional to the acceleration or the restoring force given by the particle.

5. And for the angular S.H.M. the angular displacement of the particle must be proportional to the angular acceleration or the restoring torque given by the particle.
