President of India is the head of the government and supreme commander of armed forces. His powers can be classified into several heads such as executive powers, legislative powers, financial powers, judicial powers, Diplomatic powers, Military powers as well as emergency powers.

1)excutive power - he/she appoints other members of council of ministers. and also the power of appointment of governors in the state.
2)Legislative power- without his/her assent no bill can become a law.
He/she can call a joint session to resolve the issue .
3)Financial Power - no money bill can be words, all the money bill are initiated in lol subha without his/her recommendations.
4)Judicial power- he/she has the power to grant pardon or reduce sentence of a person convicted of offence.
