Step-by-step explanation:

Given :-

5x²-4-3x²+6x+8+5x-13

To find :-

i) Write the given expression in its simplest form.

ii) Find it's value when x = -2 ?

Solution :-

Given expression is 5x²-4-3x²+6x+8+5x-13

=> (5x²-3x²)+(6x+5x)+(-4+8-13)

=> 2x²+11x+(8-17)

=> 2x²+11x-9

Now

If x = -2 then the value of the expression

=> 2(-2)²+11(-2)-9

=> 2(4)+(-22)-9

=> 8-22-9

=> 8 - 31

=> -23

Answer:-

i) The simplest form of the expression is 2x²+11x-9

ii) The value of the expression if x = -2 is -23
