- shape of atom and size of atom
    when the size or shape changes the distance between the necules and valance electron       changes the force of attraction will change it effects ionisation energy
- nucelar charge
    when necular charge change the force of attraction between the necules ad the valance shell changes it effects the ionisation energy
- electronic configuration
   it shows stability of atom. it is most important factor
- penetration effect
   the s p d f orbitals are arranged as s<p<d<f and it has the proportional attraction with nucleus
- screening effect
  the attraction of valance shell with nucleus will effect ionisation power

ionisation energy of an element is defined as the amount of energy required to remove the most loosely bound electron from isolated neutral gaseous atom in its lower energy to convert it in to gaseous cation.
factors affectin it are :-
* nuclear charge - greater the nuclear charge ,  greater is the electrostatic force of attraction exerted by the nucleus on the outer electrons. Thus it would be more and more difficult to remove the outermost shell electron from an atom with higher nuclear charge
* size of the atom - greater is the size of the atom , more far is the outermost electron from nucleus and hence lesser will be the force of attraction exerted by the nucleus on the outermost shell electron
* principal quantum number ( n) - greater is the value of n , for the valence shell electron of an atom , farther away this electron will be from the nucleus and hence lesser will be the force of attraction exerted by the nucleus on it.
* shielding or screening effect of the inner shell electrons on the valence shell electron
* half filled and completely filled orbitals
* nature of orbitals
