Work done = f * d * cos\theta
where,
f = force acting
d = displacement
\theta = angle between force and displacement

W = Fs
Here,

W = work
F = Force
s = displacement

When
angle between 0<Φ<90 then W = Fscos Φ
Φ = 90° Work = 0
90< Φ < 180 then W = FscosΦ
Φ = 180 W = -Fs
