hi friend,

the postulates of kinetic molecular theory of gases are :-

→gases contain large number of tiny identical particles called as atoms or molecules ..

→as the gas molecules are separated from each other by large distances, the volume of the particles is negligible when compared to the volume of the gas

→there are no attractive or repulsive forces between the particles at ordinary temperature and pressure

→particles of a gas are always in a state of random motion in all directions

→the pressure of the gas is due to the collision of gas particles on the walls of the container.

→the molecular collisions are perfectly elastic

→at any time, different particles of the gas have different speed

→the average kinetic energy of the gas is directly proportional to absolute temperature.

I hope this will help u ;)

Kinetic theory of gases is a model which describes the molecular composition of the gas.

Explanation:

  • Kinetic theory of gases  explains the composition of  large number of submicroscopic particles which include atoms and molecules.
  • The kinetic molecular theory explains the behavior of ideal gases at the particle nature.
  • There are five main postulates of the Kinetic theory of gases they are as follows:

(1) Particles are in constant random motion in a gas .

(2) The volume of the particles is negligible

(3) No forces are exerted on the particles.

(4) Collisions between the particles are completely elastic in nature.

(5)Temperature is proportional to the average kinetic energy of the particles.
