1) alum

Uses : Aluminum potassium sulfate or potash alum, is used as an astringent and antisepsis in various food preparation processes such as pickling and fermentation and as a flocculant for water purification. 2.Properties : It is soluble in water.

2) borax

Borax density is 1.73 g mL-1. It is highly soluble in water. Uses: Borax is largely usedby chemical, food and pharmaceutical industries. Borax is used as antifungal additive in medicine and food manufacture; it is also use in these industries to prepare buffer solution to regulate the pH of products.

3) Epsom salt

Epsom salt was named for a bitter saline spring at Epsom in Surrey, England. It is one of many naturally occurring mineral salts, a compound of magnesium and sulfate. Epsom salt is good for the mind. Epsom salt helps stabilize mood and relieve stress, anxiety and depression.

4) barium chloride

It is commonly used as a test for sulfate ion. In industry, Barium Chloride is mainly used in the purification of brine solution in causticchlorine plants and also in the manufacture of heat treatment salts, case hardening of steel, in the manufacture of pigments, and in the manufacture of other barium salts.

5) sodium chloride

Sodium sulfate is used to dry organic liquids. As a filler in powdered home laundry detergents. As a fining agent which removes small air bubbles from molten glass. Glauber's salt, the decahydrate was used as a laxative which removes certain drugs such as acetaminophen from the body.
