(a) Definition is given already in the other answer. Some additional things are- pseudopodia is Greek for "false foot". This finger like projections are elongated and contracted by actin and microfilaments interaction beneath cell membrane. Further it is then filled with cytoplasm and thus the amoeba with the pseudopodia moves forward. This is also used to capture and engulf the prey(here-food particle),also called as phagocytosis.
(b) The cilia helps paramecium move around in the surrounding of the organism. Another function is gathering its food towards the opening of the mouth.

a) they are extentions of cytoplasm or inside organismal like amoeba. it helps in the shape of amoeba, making it move,appear or disappear. it also helps to capture prey.
