As per question, in Benzene we have two functional groups attatched...One is bromine and other is an Aldehyde group(-CHO)

And Meta means it is 1, 3 position..Means if we place one functional group in 1st carbon of benzene..then we should place the other functional group in 3rd carbon of benezene.
