postulates:
1) He considered the watermelon as atom.
2) the seeds are protons and the red colour region is eletrons.that is why this model is also called as water melon atomic model or plum budding model.
Drawbacks:
Couldn't identify the neutrons and nucleus.

Hi friend here is your answer
Postulates of Thomson's atomic model
1) Atom is the positively charged sphere with negatively charged electrons embedded in it
2) His model of atom was compared to plum pudding and watermelon
He compared red edible part as positive charge whereas the seeds as negatively charged particles i. e electrons
Limitations of Thomson's atomic model
1) It fails to explain how the positive charge holds the negative charged electrons in the atom
2)This theory failed to explain the position of the nucleus
3) Failed to explain the scattering of alpha particles
Hope it helps you............!!
