Answer:
Shubham was sitting on his desk looking at some homework which he didn't want to finish and that's when he heard the phone ring. He picked it up and heard all about how his best friend Shiv was having a party at night and he was invited to come over and have some fun. "Phew", he thought to himself, just what he needed after so many days of excessive workload.
He dressed up in his finest clothes and went downstairs to only hear his parents quarreling away as per usual. He asked them, "if he could leave". To which they responded in a hostile manner. They scolded him for not being responsible and that he needed to finish his homework. He didn't want to go as told but he knew he couldn't leave the house like this. Furious he went to his room and banged the door shut after which he turned on loud music to keep the noise out of his head. He hated when his parents treated him this way and he knew that they didn't care about his education, just about showing him that they were in charge. He saw the open window and thought of an opportunity. He sneaked out of his house, took his bike and rode off to the party. He enjoyed the night away and returned home around 5 am only to find that there were police officers and fire fighters around his house. He found his mother in an ambulance and his father screaming that " my son is inside his room". He rushed to his father only to discover that he looked back at him in amazement as to how Shubham got out. Shubham looked to his room and realized that he had left his heater on before leaving. A firefighter came back and announced the cause of the fire being Shubham's room getting caught on fire from the heater.
Shubham was in tears as he held his unconscious mothers hand in the ambulance and found himself responsible for the fire alone. That is when he knew how right his parents were. He needed to be more responsible.
