Solution :

Given : x + 12 = (-7)

As we know that when there is a variable and coefficient is given we take variables on one side and coefficient on another side.

x = -7 - 12

x = -19

So, the answer is x = -19

Given linear equation in one variable

x + 12 = -7

subtract 12 both sides of the equation,

we get,
