To factorise the given mathematical equation

Given,

x²+2√3x-24=0

By splitting the middle term,

→x²+4√3x-2√3x-24=0

→x(x+4√3)-2√3(x+4√3)=0

→(x+4√3)(x-2√3)=0

→x=2√3 or -4√3

The roots of the equation are -4√3 and 2√3

★What is a quadratic equation?

Any quadratic polynomial of the form ax²+bx+c=0,where f(x)=0 is called a Quadratic Equation

•Splitting the middle term

•Completing the square

•Quadratic Formula

Roots of an equation are the values of the variable in the equation, provided that, when substituted in place of the variable, the answer comes out to be zero
