x^2+y^2= ? any identity answered ???

x2+ y2 can be written as (x+y)2

this is in the form of (a +b)2 = a2+ 2ab+ b2

so the above can  be written as x2 + 2xy + y2

or there is another one too :

x2 + y2 = (x+y) (x - y)
