Yes it is the factor
X+3=0
X=-3
P(X)=x
 {x}^{2}  + 6 {x}^{2}  + 5x - 12 \\  { - 3}^{3}  + 6 { - 3}^{2}  + 5 \times  - 3 - 12 \\  - 27 + 54 - 15 - 12 \\ 27 - 27 \\ 0

Hey dear,
X+3 is a factor of x³+6x²+5x-12

X+3=0
x=-3
putting x=-3 in eq.

=>(-3)³+6*(-3)²+5*(-3)-12
=> -27+6*9-15-12
=> -27+54-27
=>0

perfectly definitely pure correct answer.
