Hey

x - 3y = 7.... (1)

3x - 3y = 15....(2)

(1) - (2) by elimination method

x - 3x = 7 - 15

-2x = -8

x = 8/2

x = 4

sub x = 4 in (1)

4 - 3y = 7

-3y = 7-4

-3y = 3

y = -3/3

y = -1

By subtracting we get

x-3y-7=0

3x-3y-15=0

____________

-2x+8=0

2x=8

x=4

substitute x=4 in x-3y-7=0

4-3y-7=0

3y=3

y=1
