X and Y are partners sharing profit and losses in ratio 4:3 . They admit Z new partners for2/7share which is aquired eqally from X and Y calculate new profit sharing ratio

Z's share is 2/7, half of it will be borne by X & half by Y. In other words X & Y will sacrifice 2/14 each out of their old ratio [2/7×1/2=2/14]

Hence,

A's share will be 4/7 - 2/14 = 2/7

B's share will be 3/7 - 2/14 = 1/7

C's share will be 2/7× 1/1 = 2/7

thus the new ratio will be 2:1:2
