x² - 8x + 15 = 0

______________ [ GIVEN ]

• We have to find it's zeros.

_______________________________

=> x² - 8x + 15 = 0

Here x² - 8x + 15 is in the form ax² + bx + c.

Here .. a = 1, b = -8 and c = 15

We have to find the numbers whose sum is 'b' means (-8) and product is 'c' means (+15)

So,

=> x² - 8x + 15 = 0

=> x² - 5x - 3x + 15 = 0

=> x(x - 5) -3(x - 5) = 0

=> (x - 5) (x - 3) = 0

• x - 5 = 0

=> x = 5

• x - 3 = 0

=> x = 3

x = +3 and +5
