we have to spilt middle term in such a way that the sum become X and product become 72

=>x²+X-72

=>x²+9x-8x-72

=>X(X+9)-8(x+9)

=>(X+9) (x-8)

X= -9,8

Now

A+B= -b/a

=>-9+8 = -1/1= -(Coefficient of x)/Coefficient of X²

A×B=c/a

=>-72=(constant term)/Coefficient of x²
