Quadratic equation : An equation of degree 2 is called a quadratic equation.
General form of Quadratic equation :
ax² + bx + c , where a,b,c are constants and a≠0.

SOLUTION:

GIVEN : X²-7x+5=0
On comparing with General form of Quadratic equation : ax² + bx + c = 0
Here, a= 1, b = -7 , c = 5.

Hence , the value of a= 1,b = -7 & c = 5.

A general form of quadratic equation is given by ax² + bx + c = 0 where a is coefficient of x², b is coefficient of x and c is constant.

here given, x² - 7x + 5 = 0
compare it with general form
a = 1 , b = -7 and c = 5

now, x² - 7x + 5 = 0.
check D = b² -4ac
= (-7)² - 4.1.5
= 49 -20 = 29 > 0
discriminant is positive , so roots are real.
