in triangle XYZ,xy=3,yz=4, xz =?,to find hypotenuse xz? we put values in following formula.

(xz) {?}^{2}  = (xy) {?}^{2}  + (yz) {?}^{2}

=

(xz) { }^{2}  \:  = 3 {}^{2} { + 4  }^{2}

(xz) {}^{2}  = 9 + 16

(xz) {}^{2}  = 25

xz =  \sqrt{25  \:  }

xz = 5

In triangle LMN, ln=10,to find side lm=? we put values in following formula.

 ln =  \frac{1}{2}  \times lm

10 =  \frac{1}{2}   \times lm

lm = 5
