Dear Diary
Today, I am 10 years old. As my parents promised me earlier, they have given me a pet for my birthday. It is the best birthday gift I have ever got. It helps me overcome the loneliness of being an only child. He is a three-month old golden brown retriever. I have named him Coffee.
Everyday morning, as soon as I get up, I give him his milk and leave him outside to attend nature’s call. This is part of my training him for the same. As soon as I come back from school in the evening, I eat my snacks very fast and take him for a 10-minute walk in the adjacent lane. Then, we return home and play in the garden for the next 15-20 minutes. Every alternate day, I brush his fur thoroughly till his coat is smooth and shiny.
