y does the ray of light bends towards the normal when it enters from air.in the glass slab and bends away from the normal when it emerges out into air??

when the Ray of light goes towards the glass slab the glass slab when's the light and diverges it into seven colours the seven colours are the rainbow colours

a ray of light bends towards the normal when it enters from air in a glass slab because in this case angle of refraction (r) is smaller than the angle of incidence(i).

a ray of light bends away from the normal when it emerges out into air becoz in this case angle of refraction is greater than the angle of incidence.
