SOLUTIONS:

Let the contribution of Yamini and Fatima be ₹ x and ₹ y respectively. Then there total contribution is ₹ ( x + y ). But, the total contribution is ₹ 100 (given).

∴ x + y = 100 ____________(i)

This is required equation satisfying the given data.

Putting x = 0 in (i), we get y = 100

Putting x = 100 in (i), we get y = 0

Putting x = 50 in (i), we get y = 50

Putting x = 20 in (i), we get y = 80

Thus, we obtain the following solutions exhibiting the coordinates of the two points on the line.

Solutions:- (0, 100), (100, 0), (50, 50) and (20, 80)
