Given   :   tan^{-1}\frac{x-1}{x-2} + tan^{-1}\frac{x+1}{x+2} =  \frac{ \pi }{4}

To find :   x का  मान ज्ञात कीजिए

Solution:

  tan^{-1}\frac{x-1}{x-2} + tan^{-1}\frac{x+1}{x+2} =  \frac{ \pi }{4}

दोनों तरफ  sin लेने पर

tan(tan^{-1}\frac{x-1}{x-2} + tan^{-1}\frac{x+1}{x+2}) = tan( \frac{ \pi }{4})

हमें ज्ञात है की  tan (π/4) = 1

tan(A + B) = (tanA + tanB)/(1 - tanAtanB)

=>  \frac{tan (tan^{-1}\frac{x-1}{x-2})  + tan (tan^{-1}\frac{x+1}{x+2})  }{1 - (tan (tan^{-1}\frac{x-1}{x-2})) (tan (tan^{-1}\frac{x+1}{x+2})) } = 1

=>  \frac{ \frac{x-1}{x-2}   + \frac{x+1}{x+2}  }{1 -  (\frac{x-1}{x-2})  ( \frac{x+1}{x+2}) } = 1

=>   \frac{(x-1)(x+2)+ (x+1)(x-2)  }{ x^2  - 4 - (x^2 - 1) } = 1

=>  \frac{ x^2 + x - 2+ x^2 - x - 2 }{- 3  } = 1

=> 2x² - 4 = -3

=> 2x² = 1

=> x² = 1 /2

=> x = ± 1/√2

x का मान =   ± 1/√2
