We can separate the iron filling from the mixture by using magnet , because we know iron filling can easily attracted towards the magnets .


Now, the mixture of sand and sawdust (the dust of wood ) can be separate , when we put the mixture into the water . the light weighted sawdust float on the water , and the sand sediments. then we can easily separate the sawdust and sand .
