Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper I wish to draw your attention to the increasing cases of thefts taking place in the above-mentioned colony.

Although we, the residents have hired security guards from a reputed firm, there have been a number of reports of robberies. Despite the gates installed at every point and the guards stationed there, unsavory characters have managed to slip in. They study the habits of the residents and then commit these crimes when the residents are out or only the elderly of children are at home.

We have requested the police at the nearest police station to please send extra patrolling both during the day and night to catch these criminals.
I hope you will highlight this issue in your prestigious newspaper so that it is brought to the attention of the concerned authorities who must take immediate steps to try to catch these criminals.
