Dear Diary,
I know why I have been sent here. The corporal could not stand the fact that I know much more than him. But, why should I hide back the things I know? Why should others not benefit from my knowledge? And if they were people who feel jealous of my knowledge, I don't care a fig for them. I don't cheat anyone; I don't harm anyone; I don't do anything illegal. Then why should I be afraid of anyone? If they think they have gained victory aver me by allotting these cook house duties, they are mistaken. It show only their own meanness and shallowness. I'll do justice to my duty wherever I am posted. Here, in the cook house, I don't feel anything happens in a wrong manner. If I know something is wrong, I'll say it is wrong and ought not to be done. Knowledge itself is power and is not needed to be borrowed from anybody. Let the sergeant and the corporal remember, Alexander Pope's word's that ''a little knowledge is a dangerous thing''. They have only a little knowledge and so are dangerous for others. It is they who need to be confined in cook house, not me who is a lion and will keep roaring be in a forest or a cage.
