Answer ⇒ If I am travelling in a Bus then the Person sitting near us in bus will be in rest with respect us.

Since, rest and motion are relative terms we need some frame of reference to decide whether the body is in motion or rest.

We all know that Earth is in motion but still it is considered as Inertial Frame.

All the bodies which are in motion or rest are decided with respect to it.

2. To decide that whether the object is in motion or rest, we must need some relative terms or Frame of Reference.

For example, If I am saying I am in rest this means I am in rest w.r.t earth, but I will be motion for the person sitting in a moving car.

So, Rest and Motion depends upon the Observers and its state.

Hope it helps.
