You had made full preparations to go see your friend living in America, but now due to the spread of covid-19 you cannot travel.While expressing regret(sorrow) over this, write a letter to a friend and also write about the current situation in your city. I hope this will do:

I'm very sorry about not being able to come see you. I hope you understand through these circumstances. All my wishes are to your and your family’s safety and health. Once this is all over I will hopefully be able to pick up where I can see you. If not then hopefully I’ll get reimbursed for all this and be able to do it just to change dates and stuff. For the most part I am fine just sad I can’t come see you. But excited that someday I’ll be able to and then you can show me all the different things you do and we can compare how we would react to things. And I’ll get to meet your friends and family there. And someday maybe you can do the say.
