Answer:

See the above attachment, it will help you.

Explanation:

when an object is placed between O and F =

A virtual, erect and magnified image is formed between f and 2f at the same side of the object.

Hope this helps....

You have a convex lens . Where will you place an object to see an erect and magnified image

Explanation:

Lens

The two curved surfaces bounded by some angle .

The types of lenses :

Concave lens

Convex lens

Some terms :

  • Optical Centre: It is the centre of  lens
  • P. Axis: It is the line passing straight through optical centre
  • Focus: pt. Where refracted rays meet or appear to meet
  • Focal length: Distance between focus and optical centre
  • 2f: Twice of focal length
  • Nature: The rays that fall on convex lens after refraction meet at one point so it is converging lens.

Rules to obtain image from convex lens:

1.  Incident Ray coming parallel to p.axis after refraction passes through focus.

2. Incident Ray coming from focus after refraction becomes parallel to p.Axis.

 3. Incident ray coming from O goes straight

In order to get virtual erect and magnified image , object is kept between F and O .The ray diagram for the same is attached .
